This song can also be called “So Messed Up” but I just like the
way it shocks people sometimes not expecting it. I wrote this
after an incident with my last ex-wife (see, I do qualify as a
country songwriter since there are multiple wives involved in my
life) and the way she was being that particular day.
The first time I laid eyes on you I thought we made a match
And then you said you’d go with me, you were a prize to catch
But after bein’ with you, honey, for the last few years
I know one thing is certain, I’m through with all my tears
The faster this is over, girl, the happier I’ll be
I just wish someone would’ve warned me ’cause now I will agree
