I know Fogerty isn't country , but by today's standards who is ? The man never seizes to amaze me , he has written and recorded more songs then even he can remember , John has just released a new Cd titled - REVIVAL ,I just picked up a copy last week and , believe you me , I was not disappointed . The first two tracks DON"T YOU WISH IT WAS TRUE and GUNSLINGER kick off what I think is a Cd that should get lots of air play , but we know it won't . Most of the songs deal with today's problems , like Gunslinger ,it speaks about the Violence and corruption today and peoples fear of speaking out , and the need for an old time gunslinger to straighten it all out . A couple of the songs take a step back in time , SUMMER OF LOVE and CREEDENCE SONG
Another song ,It Ain't RIGHT speaks of the downward spiral of some of today's young stars , This one ends abruptly as do there lives , I know I am biased because my wife and I have always been big Fogerty Fans , but the man still has such a grasp on today's music and it's relation to what's going on in our world today , I would rate this CD a must have for Fogerty Fans

Fitzie, ty for the review. Always liked CCR (the 1st one not the current CCR, not that I don't like them too). I'm more inclined to get it than I was b4 the review.

Hi 2step , I think this ccr you are talking about is what they call CCR revisited , the only part of the origional CCR was the drummer , I got a chance to see them a couple of years ago , they put on a great show , But John Fogerty was the voice of CCR as well as lead guitar and Vocals and wrote 99% of their songs His brother Tom also did some vocals , Tom died I think in 19-90 they had a falling out and I guess never did speak to each other again . 2step did you ever see The DVD THE LONG ROAD HOME -john Fogerty In Concert It was his first live concert in years , I think SEpt 2006 , if you liked CCR he does alot of the old songs plus some of his solo songs ,honestly the man hasn't lost a thing 98 minutes of music

The CCR I was refering to is Cross Canadian Ragweed, not the CCR minus John. Cause w/out John ..... well you know.
