Piney Wood Hills chords - Buffy Sainte Marie

Piney Wood Hills is one of Buffy Sainte Marie's early country hits (1970)
which I transcribed from the record The Best of Buffy Sainte Marie. The
only exciting trick I can suggest for playing it is to slide around the
chords in the chorus, from the chords given to the chords in brackets. If
this is to complicated, don't worry - just ignore the bracketed stuff.
Also, by "A3-4-3" I mean play the normal A chord, then add the "D" on the
third fret of the B string, then go back to the normal A chord again. If
this is too complicated, ignore it too.
Have fun =) Vanessa Kay flowermonster@priest.com

Piney Wood Hills (Buffy Sainte Marie)

A3-4-3-4-3-

                    A 3-4-3 F#m
Iâm a rambler and a rover and a wanderer it seems

                   A 3-4-3 F#m
Iâve travelled all over chasin after my dreams

                        D B E
But a dream should come true/ and a heart should be filled

                     A E7 A 3-4-3
And a life should be lived in the Piney Wood Hills

                   A F#m
I'll return to the woodlands Iâll return to the snow
                   A F#m
Iâll return to the hills and the valley below
                 D B E
Iâll return as a poor man or a king if God wills
                  A E A
But Iâm on my way home to the Piney Wood Hills

Chorus:
                  D
I was raised on a song there
                         A (G# A)
Iâve done right and done wrong there
                  B (Bb B)
And itâs true I belong there
                      E
and itâs true itâs my home.

              A F#m
From ocean to ocean Iâve rambled and roamed
                A F#m
And soon Iâll return to my Piney Wood Home
                   D B E
Maybe someday Iâll find someone who will
            A E A
Lo-ove as I love my Piney Wood Hills

                  D (C# D)
I was raised on a song there
                      A (G# A)
I done right and done wrong there
                  B (Bb B)
And itâs true I belong there
                      E
and itâs true itâs my home.

                   A F#m
Iâll return to the woodlands Iâll return to the snow
                   A F#m
Iâll return to the hills and the valley below
                 D B
Iâll return as a poor man or a king if God wills
                  A E A
But Iâm on my way home to the Piney Wood Hills.
