Ignorance
(C) Don't want to read the paper, (Am) I don't like bad news
(D) Last night a man got shot, (G) Outside the house of blues
(C) I'd like to ignore it, (Am) I'd like to just pretend
(D) That the reason for it, (G) Is something I can comprehend
(C) I don't listen to the radio (Am) Last time it made me cry
(D) Two boys went crazy, (G) Fifteen kids died
(C) And I don't know their families (Am) I don't ask them how they're going
(D) They're on the other side of the world (G) But it's way too close to home
(F) I've got something to say (C) And I thought it might be worth a mention
(D) If you're not p*ssed off at the world, (G) Then you're just not payin' attention
(F) You can turn off the TV, (C) And go about you're day
(D) But just cause you can't see it (G) It don't mean it's gone away
(C) We don't talk to our neighbours, (Am) They've got funny couloured skin
(D) We see them out on the sidewalk, (G) But we don't invite them in
(C) We only eat when we're hungry (Am) And we throw the rest away
(D) While babies in Cambodia (G) Are starving every day
(C) We risk our lives, we hit our wives, (Am) we act like everything is funny
(D) We hid our pain, while we go insane, (G) We sell our souls for money
(C) We curse our mums, we build our bombs, (Am) We make our children cry
(D) We watch the band, while Vietnam, (G) Just watch their children die
(F) I've got something to say, (C) And I thought it might be worth a mention
