Composer and Artist: Edwin McCain
and coverd by Sara Evans.
I have to admit that I heard Sara's version first and was skeptical that it
couldn't be done at least as well by anyone including the man who wrote it.
But to my surprise! I suggest all you that haven't heard Edwin McCain do it,
put it on your to do list.
I have to say that you all took a good crack at it but! Edwin McCain
uses the capo in the G position while Sara Evans uses it in the A# or Bb position.
It all has to do with whats comfortable with there voice, and of course by useing the capo it sets a whole new dynamic to
the sound and feel.
One last note before you begin. While playing the verse chords D and G
play with the high E and you'll figure out that you can make it more fulfilling.
Also take note of the bass walks, they fill in what would other wise seem like empty space.
Here are the chords in any capo position you like.
Lying here with you Listening to the rain
Smiling just to see the smile upon your face
These are the moments I thank God that I'm alive
These are the moments I'll remember all my life
