Once in that  (G) position and your touch-down (D) spot
Is short of the runway-(A) dash

So I try to stay top (G) side of the power (D) curve
When I am writing and singing my (A) songs
Doesnt take much (G) courage or much (D) nerve
To chop off the (A) power when you are right (D) on

So take those (G) little (D) chapters
That make up the pages to my (A) book
Hum (D) them or sing (G) them if thats what youre (D) after
And when you are (A) finished, hang em on your own little (D) hook
